Perhaps then, first have to find a storage technology that has high capacity and charges fast, say, within minutes.
Go electric 2

Particularily for the in-city motorbikes, for people who only travel within the city. Replacing the small motorbikes with electric ones.
Go electric
Posted in Uncategorized on February 2, 2010 by ckaiyangJust came back from a visit in Singapor…
Wondering, what is the possibility for Singapor to go electric?
It is a densely populated place with many cars. The cars don’t need long distance nor high speed travel, therefore makes electric cars good option.
But what is holding back? the price of the car? the price of electricity from its neighboring country?
The wind dances – 1st price in EWI Sustainability challenge
Posted in The dutchable life, Uncategorized on February 2, 2010 by ckaiyangConcept:
A wind farm on the façades of EWI.
Reasoning:
Despite the fact that the EWI building is the tallest and eye-catching building in TU Delft campus, it is often criticized as being windy, dull and aging. To sustain the next half-century lifespan, and to make full use of the wind accumulated by the high-rise building volume, the installation of a wind farm on the façade of the building is proposed.
The new surface wind farm will give the aging building a whole new look and experience. It will revitalize and activate the once dulled façade, and harvest the wind energy for a more eco-friendly operation of the building. Thus sustaining the function of EWI as the landmark of TU Delft, as well as sustaining the energy consumption of the building.
Detail description:
Install vertical mini/micro wind turbines on the existing steel profile intersections, such as between the floors and between the window panels. This prevents obstructions of the panoramic view from inside and sunlight from outside. It also minimizes installation costs without altering the existing glass-steel structures.
Benefits:• New, lively and active façade.
• Provide energy.
• Promote eco-awareness and demonstration of the eco-friendly solution.
• Monitoring and feedback the wind conditions and distributions around the building to people inside the building, and people outside.
• Forming a cross-department cooperation within the EEMCS faculty, as well as within TUD, to realize the project.
Considerations:
There will be challenges alone the realization, some stated here: Wind condition and power assessment, turbine design and selection, costs, noise and aesthetics.

If you experience, you learn.
If you learn, you grow.
If you grow, you wish.
If you wish, you find.
If you find, you doubt.
If you doubt, you question.
If you question, you understand.
If you understand, you know.
If you know, you want to know more.

standing on the shoulders of giants
Posted in Proposition on December 13, 2009 by ckaiyangFrom wiki:
The attribution to Bernard is due to John of Salisbury. In 1159, John wrote in his Metalogicon:
“Bernard of Chartres used to say that we are like dwarfs on the shoulders of giants, so that we can see more than they, and things at a greater distance, not by virtue of any sharpness of sight on our part, or any physical distinction, but because we are carried high and raised up by their giant size.”
Confidence and arrogance
Posted in Proposition on December 13, 2009 by ckaiyangAs Paddy said, “there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance.”
To me, it is just two sides of the same thing. Confidence is how one perceives himself, while arrogance is how others think he perceives himself.
… or maybe,
confidence is how one and others perceive himself, and arrogance is how him and others think how he percieves himself comparing to others.
such a blahblah!

tolerance
Posted in Uncategorized on November 1, 2009 by ckaiyangIt is easy to tolerate things that you don’t care.
It is however truely difficult to accept facts, view-points and acts that is difference than your believe, and happens to be important to you.
